이 글을 적은 사람도 노래 제목을 알아내려고 많은 노력을 했지만 아직도 모르겠다고 합니다. 316에 한번 더 나오나보죠?
207 TOW Ross Finds Out - What music is playing when Ross and Rachel kiss at the end, in the coffee house?
Okay, I think I'm going to act like a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and say, "Final Answer," even though this is going to be rather unsatisfactory.
As best as can be determined, this music was simply created by the WB Studio (where the show is taped). That has been my suspicion for some time. I have had several people e-mail me supporting this conclusion. One person remembers reading an official Friends newsletter from Warner Brothers, stating this. Another person tells me they've heard the same music used in other Friends episodes, played as one scene changes to another. For example, it is used during the opening of episode 316, The One The Morning After, during the "Previously, on Friends" recap of the prior episode.
For those of you who are still clinging to the belief that you just know you've heard the song before, here's information on the other theories going around: It reminds many people of some U2 songs, like Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With or Without You, Pride (In the Name of Love) . But I've checked all those and none were a complete match. Another person claimed it is She Sells Sanctuary, by The Cults. I listened to that, and while it had some similar qualities, I concluded it was also not a match. Same story for The Shyest Time by The Apartments: Vaguely similar, but you had to really want to hear the similarities.
I certain welcome anyone who can identify a song that truely is matches this clip. But I'm not very interested in listening to dozens more songs that only vaguely resemble it. So unless you have a pretty conclusive match, don't bother telling me about it.
If anyone who directly took part in making that episode or selecting the music reads this and knows the answer, let me know.
